Who I Am
My name is Lisa Lundeen. I am a Certified Academic Language Therapist, CALT.
I am enjoying teaching and helping each individual discover what is blocking them by assisting them to overcome the hurdles to learning; freeing them to reach their full potential.
I have been providing language therapy to clients since 2010 and have served ages 4 to 24. In April 2020, when the pandemic hit, I had to overcome and keep consistency for the student's by transitioning to teaching on Zoom, in the home, or in the student's school.
The joy of watching each individual's love of reading expand over the course of therapy, and the simple elation of the parents as they experience the evolution of their child's advancement is the reason why I do what I do.
I have 3 children of my own, 12, 16, and 20. We love to travel, go waterfall hiking, swimming at the lake, and enjoying our 2 dogs and 2 cats.
My Education
Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from the University of Arkansas in 2003. Upon graduation, I worked with children in a residential treatment setting, then moving to be a case manager to teens that assisted with practical skills as well as connected to teachers in order to improve their performance in school. This led me to discover the low level of reading skills that children had, especially at the high school level. I was then intrigued with Language Therapy and went through the training, along with multiple hours of teaching students to earn my certification as a CALT,
